WrItten as a TrIbute to Roy OrbIson. I read hIs bIography and got rIght Into hIm for a whIle and trIed what many before have trIed: to wrIte a song In Roy's moody, emotIonal, heartbreak style. I'm the undIscovered songbIrd sIngIng to Roy sayIng: hey - at least you were dIscovered! I used some retro sounds lIke the mellotron strIngs, pedal steel (1960 8 strIng Fender 400), analogue drum kIt. I threw In some ocean sound effects and trIed to create the sound of wIngs flappIng and bIrd chIrps wIth creatIve reverb/delay use.
It's a song of hope for musIcIans everywhere. A lot of artIsts get famous after they're dead- If that's any comfort to you. heh.
