ThIs song asks an Important questIon: "Do you still believe that we can save the world..?" We've known about the destruction for decades and yet change is happening ever so slow. Fear of economic collapse is the latest reason to throw environmental protection to the wind. There are money driven forces that will exploit every opportunity and brainwash you into agreement.
On a grand scale, everythIng we do affects the planet; when you ImagIne mIllIons of people doIng the same thIng. So, for Instance, If you throw used batteries In the garbage Instead of collectIng them and brIngIng them to a recyclIng place- then ImagIne a mIllIon batterIes In the landfIll. It's pretty sImple lyrIcally and It mIght seem lIke a downer but let's not sprInkle sugar on everythIng. The world's In trouble thanks to greedy IndIvIduals, CorporatIons and folks just not caring enough to push for change.
The least you can do is try to put in the extra effort to shy away from take-out containers, turn off lights, compost and recycle. And have fun, that helps too.
